Who put you in those high-waters?
Happy Valentine's Day! Jake spent a good part of his first Valentine's Day at daddy's office while mommy went to the doctor. Tyson said Jake slept most of the time, but judging from the amount of spit-up on Tyson's shirt, that wasn't all he had done! Thanks, Tyson, for babysitting! Sorry your shirt got so messed up! Speaking of babies, congratulations to Mary Beth Smart and Kirby Smart! They welcomed their twins, Julia (4 lb 14 oz) and Weston (4 lb 11 oz), on Feb. 8, 2008. Because they were preemies (34 weeks), they are still in the NICU. It sounds like they are doing well, but please keep them in your prayers. We can't wait to introduce Jake to the Smart twins! In the pictures above, I couldn't resist taking pics of Jake in his overalls. They were the first time that he wore them, and they were cute, but short! Somehow, Tyson and I have produced a really long child that outgrows his clothes quickly! I just hope he keeps growing and is tall like my dad! In the last picture, some of the nurses from my hospital in Alabama (Charlene, Melissa, and Jen P.) came to visit yesterday. We really enjoyed seeing them, and Jake loved all the attention. He fell asleep quickly in their arms! Thanks for visiting and bringing food!
Jake's latest milestones:
- he smiles back at us when we smile at him (and it's not just gas!)
- he can push up with his arms and hold his head up for several minutes
- he swats at the toys in front of him
- he is sleeping for about 6 hours at night!
