Braves Game

Yesterday, the kids, Tyson, and I went to the Braves vs. Rockies game in Atlanta.  Someone had won a trip to the Braves game with Tyson and family as part of a raffle for the Eagles Football Athletic Association, so yesterday was our day to go.  I've never sat in a suite for a Braves game- it was AWESOME!!  We had unlimited food and drinks, comfy shaded seats, and most importantly, AC!  And the company was great, too!!  The boys had fun cheering on both the Braves and Rockies, but the Braves ended up winning 1-0. :)

This is mostly just for myself so I can laugh at myself later and just have a record of all of this.  Anyways, Georgia Southern had our Women's Football Clinic this last weekend, and yours truly had to speak.  I did pretty good on my speech, but I stank at the interviews.  Haha!  Anyways, that's all. :)

GSU Freshmen

Last week, we had the Georgia Southern Freshmen over to the house.  (We had the Seniors over the next night, but I didn't get many pics of them for some reason).  It was a hot mess outside, but they enjoyed playing corn hole, playing ping pong, swimming, and just hanging out.  I'm so excited to get to know these kids over the next few years!!

The 4th and Fishing!!

This is the only picture from the 4th of July that I have.  My cousins, Chris and Christy, were in SSI with their crews, so they joined us at the beach for fireworks.  My kids were much more interested in their glow sticks than the fireworks. Haha!
This is out of order, but this is the shark that Jake caught.

This sweet boy ended up having an allergic reaction to the life vest.  Ugh.  Poor kid.

This was Anderson's first time on a boat (I think) and he was beside himself.  I kept saying, "hold me...I fall off boat."  Hahaha.
Jake reeled this shark in all by himself!

Look at this sweet boy's face!  Haha!  He was trying to hold the shark, but the shark was going nuts and the tail hit Jake in the face.

While we were in SSI, we went out on the Billy Bee, which is a kid's fishing charter.  Mr. Billy Bice is a former school superintendent who is a HUGE Georgia Southern fan, but he has let us come on the boat for years even when we were at UAB, UCF, and Colorado State.  He definitely wanted to talk football more this time, though. Hahaha.

Unfortunately, the fish weren't biting very much on this particular day.  All we caught was a fine-tooth shark, a crab, and a crab trap (for real...in our motor).  A good time was had by all, though.

The Beach!!!!!

First full day on the beach!!
Two-thirds of my children weren't feeling the photographs.
Please notice my swim shirt and Tyson's in these pictures- at 36 years old, we are finally over getting sun on our body.  Plus, we both have to go to the dermatologist next week to have more margins of our moles cut off our bodies. Grr.  Protect your skin, people!!
 One of my new favorites.
This kid is a maniac at the beach...until he almost got swept away and drowned by a rip tide.  Whew!

Anderson got a little tossed around in the waves, so he insisted on wearing swimmies to the ocean.

Anderson playing cars with Bo and Mack.
Tyson and his best friend, Worth.  We love getting to spend our time with Worth's family.

For the last part of Tyson's vacation, we loaded up and went to St. Simons Island, Georgia for the 4th of July.  We've been going to SSI on the 4th now for many years (we obviously missed last year since we were in Colorado and it just wasn't the same), and it's a vacation I always look forward to.  We get to see Tyson's best friend, Worth, and his family. (And by Worth's family, I don't just mean Worth, his wife, and their 3 kids....it's Worth's parents, his sister and her crew, his Uncle, Aunt, cousins, and their crew, his wife's parents, his wife's brother and his wife, his wife's cousins, and a whole bunch of other people that I really can't even make the connection with).  Hehe.  It's always a great time, though.

Outside Pic of Our Statesboro House

After I posted the pictures of the inside of our house a few weeks ago, I knew I needed to get an outside picture of our house.  At the rate that we move, I'm going to have to have photographic evidence of our houses so that our kids can remember them. Anyways, here you go.  We love our little house.

Cruisin'!

Tyson and I spent the first week of his vacation on a cruise to the Bahamas just the two of us. To be honest, I hate a cruise, but my husband loves them.  I figured that if I got him out on a boat in the middle of the ocean then maybe, just maybe, I could get his mind off work, so I agreed on a cruise.  Ha!

We ended up having a GREAT time!  Our first stop was in Freeport where we went out on a sailboat with about 15 others from our cruise.  We ate, we drank, we snorkeled, WE SAW A BARRACUDA!  Haha! Tyson actually thought it was a shark at first, but that's a whole other story that I'm sworn to secrecy on.  ;)

Our second day on the boat, we stopped in Nassau.  Now, this was our 2nd and 3rd time in Nassau, so we ended up staying on the boat and just having a relaxing day.

Our last day was a Fun Day at Sea where we hung at the pool and ended up sitting next to a couple from Pooler, Ga who were Georgia Southern grads.  Small world!

We missed the kiddos so much, but they were in great care of my cousin, Trey. :)
