Jake and Walker's School Halloween Party

Here comes Walker, I mean the gold Power Ranger.
Yep, Walker was a Power Ranger for the third year in a row, but who's counting?
Here comes Jake, I mean Anakin Skywalker.

This is from Jake's party.  I had to work a station, so I didn't get quite as many pictures.

 Walker and his buddy, Collin.

 Walker and our neighbor, Illaria.
 Doing the monster mash.

Walker and his best friend, Ethan.

Pumpkin Patch

CSU had a bye this past weekend, but Tyson had to go out of state to recruit. :(  We didn't find out that he'd be gone until about 2 weeks ago, and I had already made all of these plans for us to go to a pumpkin patch and have a nice family day together...for the first time in months.  Boo!  But the show must go on, so I took the three boys to a pumpkin patch by myself.  Let me tell y'all, this was the best little set-up.  It was extremely muddy and the pumpkins were slim pickings, however, they had a petting zoo, a corn maze, a sunflower trail, and lots more.  My kids had a GREAT time!  I love Colorado in the fall. :)

More Football for Jake and Walker

Walker was chosen as one of the captains for the game.
He got to call the coin toss.  I don't even know if we won or loss it.
Jake got hurt during the game and took his flags off, so Anderson grabbed the flags and tried to go in the game.  Hahaha!

The Letson boys came to support the Summers boys.  Sweet Anderson and Eli. :)

Be warned- I sound super crazy here, but I was so proud of this catch and run by Walker. :)

This is a great catch by Jake, but it got called back because we were offsides.

This is a two point conversion attempt by Walker.  He got his flags pulled right before the goal line.

Again, ignore the crazy cheerleader in the background, but this is one of Jake's touchdowns that counted.  These refs call penalties like crazy!

Here is a little bit from our game this weekend.  We ended up losing and are now 4-2; we have one more regular season game and then will go into the playoff bracket.  Jake scored 2 touchdowns and Walker came sooooooo close to scoring a touchdown and getting a two point conversion.  They both also played pretty good defense, but those kids were HUGE compared to our team.  Such a tough loss. :(

Miller Farms Field Trip

How cute are these Cars replicas?

I ran into Carrie Friend, who was also at the farm on a field trip!
 Walker's Colorado bestie, Ethan.

These are recycled Crocs that they are playing on.  The germ freak in me was freaking out that they were playing on other people's old shoes.  Yuck!

Last week, Anderson and I joined Walker's class on a field trip to Miller's Farm in Platteville, CO.  Walker's class has been learning about food groups, so we went to the farm to pick vegetables.  Let me tell y'all, this was the hottest (I still can't figure out this Colorado weather and sun), dirtiest, most stressful field trip I've ever been on.  It probably didn't help that I had to bring Anderson and that Walker's friend, Ethan, who I was responsible for, liked to run off away from the group.  Oh, and add to it that since Walker is allergic to practically everything, I was a nervous wreck that something would happen to him.  It was so hot that all the kids were pretty much miserable, and they all got bored pretty quickly picking the vegetables.  Poor Walker, what a bad first field trip.  Hahahaha. I will say, though, that it was a cool experience, and we actually cooked some of the veggies that we picked later that night.  Not that Walker actually ATE any of the vegetables, but Jake and I enjoyed them. ;)
