Spring Break in SSI!

 It was a cold and rainy week in St. Simons, so we had to be creative.  Walker smoked us all in bowling.

 In between the storms, we blew bubbles...

 ...and got chased by the ducks.

 Anderson loved feeding the "Duh" (ducks) that go "qua qua" (quack quack).  Hahaha.  

 We loved on Pa Pa a lot.

 And we froze down by the Pier.

Spring Break Trip to Tifton

For the boys spring break last week, we drove to Tifton, spent a day with the cousins, and then headed for St. Simons for the week with my mom and dad.  My dad couldn't get to St. Simons until later in the week, so it worked out perfectly for us to pick up my mom in Tifton and head down early.

While we were in Tifton, we wanted to get some updated pictures of my mom with all the grandkids,  We also wanted to spend lots of quality time with Amy and her crew since we won't be able to see them as much when we move to Colorado. :(  So sad.  The kids had a great time together as always.

Thanks for putting up with us, Amy!  And thanks for driving down, Granddaddy!  We love you!

Tyson's Spring Break

 Anderson has to wear these little speedos for his swim lessons.  Well, when we went out to the pool, he pitched a fit for me to put him in his speedos.  Hahaha.  I hope he doesn't think this is normal.

Tyson got to come home this past week for his Spring Break.  It was an eventful week to say the least (I'll expand on that another time), but it was also uneventful at times, which is exactly how we like it.  We spent lots of time cuddling with daddy, playing in the pool, playing ball, and just enjoying having Tyson home.

Baseball!!

It's been hard this year getting pictures of Jake playing baseball.  When he played t-ball and coach pitch, I could usually sneak in the dugout and get some pics, but we're in a different league this year and I don't want to rock the boat.  Ha!

Baseball is getting better slowly but surely.  We finely caved in a bought a pitching machine so that Jake can get some more practice in.  As hard as I try, I just can't throw a strike fast enough for Jake to practice off of.  I can rock a slow-pitch softball throw any day of the week- not baseball, though.

Jake is still loving baseball.  He definitely makes it known, though, that football is still his favorite sport. ;)

18 Month Check Up

Anderson had his 18 month check-up last week, and here is how he stacks up:

Anderson: 27 lbs 4 oz and 34.5 inches
Walker: 26 lbs 10 oz and 35 inches
Jake: 27 lbs 15.5 oz and 33.5 inches

All is well with my baby boy; Dr. Lacy seems to think I may have another football player on my hands- a linebacker to be exact. ;)  He is definitely built like Jake and just seems to be very solid...and extremely bow-legged.  Ha!

His heart murmur is still present, but other than that, he's extremely healthy.  He doesn't seem to have the allergy/skin problems that the other boys had, thank goodness!

Anderson's speech is really picking up, as are his tantrums.  He is one stubborn, determined little boy.  Haha.

What else?  Anderson started swim lessons (ISR actually) this week and he's rocking those.  I debated on not doing the ISR since we're moving to Colorado in a few months and won't be around water as much as we are in Florida, but we do have a neighborhood pool/splash pad that I'm sure we'll live at this summer.  Better safe than sorry!

The Bartons Visit, Last Games, and Disney (again!)

 On to the Magic Kingdom.  The two blonds with peanut allergies.

We just had an action-packed weekend.  For starters, my cousin, Christy, and her family came to town for a visit and to go to Disney World.  Saturday, Jake had his first baseball game, Walker had his last basketball game, and Jake had his last football game...all within an hour and a half.  Literally, we had baseball pics at 7:45, baseball game at 8:30, basketball at 9, and football at 9:30.  Since I can't be in three places at once, I begged Tyson to fly in and help me.  It would just break my heart for one of our kids not to have someone at their game, and how in the world would I have chosen whose game to go to?  Tyson came to the rescue, though,

Both of the boys did great at their last games- Walker was the leading scorer in his game with 6 baskets and Jake had a rushing touchdown and played quarterback and made an amazing pass to Daniel for a touchdown.  Baseball, on the other hand, didn't go as well.  Jake is playing machine pitch this year, and he is having a hard time adjusting to that.  He only got to bat once since he had to leave early, and he struck out. :(

After the games finished up, we joined up with the Bartons at the Magic Kingdom.  We rode Buzz Lightyear, Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain.  I could tell that Tyson was exhausted, so we cut the trip short and went home early.  We had a great time, though, and enjoyed our time together and with our family.  It was a great weekend overall, but it went way too fast!
