Fort Frederica
Since my King grandparents lived in Brunswick, I grew up going to Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island and have gone almost every year. However, in all my years, I have never been to Fort Frederica. (You can read more about Fort Frederica here). And since we were having to find things to do for the boys because of the cold weather, we decided to give Fort Frederica a shot. The boys LOVED it! They didn't quite get the history behind it, but they did enjoy playing "British vs Spanish." Then again, I think they just look for a reason to fight. ;)

Walker's Pretend Birthday
Walker's real birthday is April 10th, but when I've asked him what he wants to do for his birthday, he says, "I want to have a party at PaPa's beach house...with a Beyblade pinata." Easy enough. So when we were in St. Simons for spring break, we threw Walker a "pretend" birthday party complete with balloons, cake, presents, and a Beyblade pinata. He LOVED it! Now, we'll probably still celebrate with a little family birthday party here on his actual birthday, but he got his wish for a party at PaPa's beach house. :)

Spring Break!
The boys and I are in St. Simons Island for the week for spring break. We've only had one warm day so far to get on the beach, so we totally took advantage of it. We've still had lots of fun finding thing to do around the island, though, in this coldness. More on that later. I just wanted Tyson to be able to see all this cuteness on the beach. We miss you, Tyson!

My Poor Middle Child
Poor Walker. My middle child. I feel like he never gets photographed, so I made a special point to take some pics of just him...and somehow, I ended up with pics of Anderson, too. I just couldn't resist the cuteness. Anyways, Walker is my big helper around the house and loves to do chores; it is his job to unload the silverware in the dishwasher, take the toys that find their way downstairs back upstairs, and fold the wash clothes. My sweet boy never complains and is always willing to help, and he usually does it with a smile on his face. That child has so much personality, as you can tell from the pictures. Such a ham!

Keep Calm and Kindergarten On
Jake's school had field day today, so Walker, Anderson, and I went to cheer him on. His class represented Japan in the "World Cup," and they basically had stations that they rotated through and competed against each other. There really weren't any winners or losers, but Jake had so much fun anyways.

Game Ball and Kaycee's Kids
I told Jake to make a face like a baseball player, and this is what he gave me.
...and this. Hahaha! I think he's seen one too many of his Daddy's football pictures.
Jake got two big hits and earned the game ball.
Walker H., Jake, Ella, and Walker S.
It was Anderson's first time in a bathing suit. He was a little too sleepy, though, for swimming.
My best friend from college, Kaycee, came to Orlando this last week to see her family, and Tyson, the boys, and I drove out to Kissimmee on Sunday to see her. We met up at her parents' condo's water park and had a day of fun in the sun. We haven't seen her or her kiddos since last year at this time, but our kids remembered each other right away and played like they've known each other forever. My Walker even said his favorite part of the day was "seeing Walker." Aww!! And Kaycee's mom might have even told Jake that he needs to marry Ella so that we can all be family. Hahaha! So much fun in "paradise!" ;)
