Roly Poly

Ok, so I'm struggling for blog posts lately.  We're going on week 3 of only seeing Tyson for a few hours each week, and this mama is fading fast.  Signing Day is next Wednesday, though- it can't get here fast enough!

Our big excitement for the week is that Anderson started rolling over from his back to his stomach!  I'm thinking my baby boy might have a lazy side to him, though, because the only time he'll do it is if I walk out of sight and he rolls to be able to see me.  If there is a toy near him that he could probably roll to get, he'll just sit there and fuss until someone hands it to him.  Hahaha!  The big boys and I are such enablers and hand him the toys right over.

Football, Fish, and Fingers

Jake had his 2nd game this past weekend.  Here he is running the ball.
He had a good little run before being pushed out of bounds.

We also got a fish this weekend.  The boys really wanted a snake, but I talked them into the fish instead.
I've caught this cutie trying to suck his thumb lately; I'm trying really hard to push the paci instead.  Been there, done that with thumb sucking (i.e. Jake). ;)
This is Anderson catching me taking pictures of him...
OMG, I could just eat him up.

Jake's First Flag Football Game

His first "tackle"...and it was a girl!  Hahaha! But at least he forced the fumble.
I love Ryan's death stare here.  Ha!
Jake kept referring to this kid as "the big kid."
Jake was so proud that he took the flags from "the big kid."
Can you tell?

I love his intensity.
You can't get the flags every time. ;)
Sean and Walker.  Such a mess these two.
It's a dog pile...
...and Jake comes up with the flags.
Stealing the flags off of our friend, Colton.

Gettin' the game plan from Coach Dave.
Jake Summers, Center?

Jake (#2) misses the flags here, but you gotta give the kid some credit for effort.

Yesterday was Jake's first flag football game.  I'll be honest, I was worried all week long that he'd be ejected from this game for tackling.  It's not that we practice tackling at home or anything, Tyson said it just comes natural for Jake. Hahaha!  I'm not sure about that, but it seems like even when he goes to pull a flag, he always ends up bringing the kid down anyways.  He's just rough like that.  But y'all, this kid is REALLY good on defense.  He didn't get a chance to run the ball at this game because the ref called the game early (it was REALLY cold for these Florida kids), but I have a feeling he'll be good at that, too.  I might be a little biased, though. ;)  And so begins Jake's football career. :)

Football for Life

Jake started practice for flag football last week, so we took it to the front yard this past weekend for a little extra practice.  As soon as our neighbors saw us out there, they quickly joined in.  Well, let me rephrase that, as soon as our neighbors' mama saw us out there with me having to play center, she told her boys to go help Mrs. Beth out.  Haha!  I love my Team Summers. :)

UCF Football Parade at Disney

 Fake smiles at Disney...really?

 Here come the Knights!

 Coach O'Leary and the Mouse.

Here comes the coaches...and Cinderella and Prince Charming.
Man, I was so excited for our players.  This was an experience of a lifetime.  Every where they stepped at Disney, people were jumping at the chance to get a photo or an autograph from the players.

Tyson kept trying to get our boys' attention, and Jake and Walker were like "oh yeah, there's Daddy on a float with Cinderella.  Can we get some icecream now?"  No big deal. ;)

I got so tickled seeing Coach Zo next to this Fairy Godmother.  He's turned around in this picture, but Zo was cutting up about the Fairy Godmother the whole time.  Hilarious.
We couldn't leave without seeing Mickey.  Walker has decided that he is no longer afraid of characters, so he insisted on getting his picture taken with the mouse.
And since it was Anderson's first time to Disney, I wanted him to get a picture with Mickey.  Unfortunately, he was asleep in the Baby Bjorn the whole time, but I got my picture. ;)
On our way out I realized the Wensyel boys hadn't gotten a picture with the players, so we stopped these mostly lineman and asked for one.  They boys loved it.
These next few pictures are from our Rivals photographer.

This past Sunday, Disney honored the UCF football team with a parade to celebrate our Fiesta Bowl win.  I feel like I've said this a lot lately, but this goes down as one of the coolest things ever in my life.  I mean, how often does your husband get to ride on a float in a parade at Disney World?  Man, it was awesome!

After the parade, we met up with the Wensyels and rode a few rides.  We started with "the Goofy ride" (aka the Barnstormer), which we've ridden at least 5 times, but Walker always forgets how scary it is and gets on anyways.  He about pinched my arm off!  Hahaha!  And Angie had already gotten us Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mountain, so I was a little nervous at how Walker would handle that ride.  I told Walker a little fib that we were going to ride on a train, and I buckled him in before he could realize we were about to go on an even scarier roller coaster!  Hahaha!  He survived and was a champ; Jake absolutely LOVED Big Thunder Mountain and was begging to go back.  He loves roller coasters like his mama....and UNLIKE his Daddy, who volunteered to sit out with Anderson. ;)

OMG, this was so much fun.  It was definitely once in a lifetime opportunity!
