Easter Sunday

My mom wasn't able to go to church with us, but she still dressed up for the pictures.

Happy Easter!!

Walker's Family Birthday Party

 My family :)

 Child abuse?  Haha!

While we were in Thomaston this past weekend with my family, we celebrated Walker's 6th birthday a little early.  He chose a soccer themed cake and asked for Power Ranger toys for the 4th year in a row.  Haha!  Happy early birthday, Walker!

Thomaston Easter Party

Perrin (my mom's neighbor), Gracie, Jake, Carson, Spenser, Walker, and Jace.
The Kindergarten and below group went first for egg hunting.  Anderson got 2 of the 6 prize eggs!  He definitely stepped up his game from his school egg hunt catastrophe.  Haha!

Aunt Amy gives Anderson a little boost.
 Jake "sweaty" Summers
The littlest 2 playing with my old Barbie car...and breaking it.  Haha!
 My parents. :)
My cousin, Christy, and my sis.

My granddaddy with his 11 great grandchildren.

We went to Thomaston this past Saturday to celebrate Easter with my family.  For the first time in a long time, all of my mom's side of the family were all together to celebrate.  My parents' rented a bounce house, we had an Easter egg hunt, and we celebrated Walker's birthday- needless to say, everyone had a blast.  My mom is very sick, though, and is very frail and weak, so that was looming over us the whole time.  She wanted us to go about our business and have fun, so we respected her orders. ;)

Walker's Easter Party

 Lane, Caid, Walker, and Mason.

Last but not least, we celebrated Walker's class Easter party on Good Friday.  Walker's class walked across the street to the historic Statesboro Inn (I think) for their class egg hunt, and it was pretty cute.  Did I mention that when we moved to Statesboro, we decided to put Walker back in Pre-K?  With him having a later birthday and having to move mid-year, we (ok, I) thought it was the best decision.  Walker seems good with it, though.  Anyways, Anderson and I joined Walker's class for a little party afterwards and I got to meet Walker's new friends and his "girlfriend!"  Ha!  Yep, he doesn't waste any time.

*I let Walker dress himself and he went with Star Wars casual.  I kind of felt bad once he got to school and saw how cute the other kids were dressed.  Oh well, Walker is a leader and doesn't mind being different.  Plus, there was no way I was ever going to get a bunny shirt on him.  Hahaha!

Jake's Easter Party

Jake's Easter party at school was very low key...and awesome!  He goes to a private school where there are only 2 classes in his grade, and everybody knows everybody.  The teachers combined the party and fed the kids and then let them hunt Easter eggs.  The teachers were smart, though, they numbered and labeled the eggs with the teachers' names (Jake was T-1), so that made finding the eggs more fair and a lot more difficult.  The kids could help each other out (like pictured above with a girl finding Jake's) which made the egg hunt really cute.  The only problem was, though, that Anderson kept picking up other eggs that weren't T-1 and throwing them in Jake's basket.  Haha!  Super cute.  Jake and I both had a great time; I really enjoyed meeting Jake's new friends and their moms.  I think we're really going to like his school. :)

*Tyson took Jake to morning workouts this particular morning, so Tyson dressed him and then told me that he had forgotten to brush Jake's hair. Smh.

Anderson's Easter Party

I got extremely lucky this year with Easter parties- Anderson's was on Wednesday, Jake's on Thursday, and Walker's on Friday.  I actually got to go to all 3 and stay the whole time!  Woo hoo!

First up was Anderson's party.  Now, Anderson was placed in the 3 years old class, so he is the youngest one in there.  I say that because as soon as his teachers said "go" for the egg hunt, all the big kids took off and grabbed up all the eggs quickly, and Anderson only got 1 egg.  (He did kind of hurt his chances because he insisted on opening the lone egg and getting the candy out).  Ha!  His teacher, though, fairly distributed the eggs while the kids snacked.  I'm pretty sure Anderson learned his lesson, though. :)

Swing Into Spring!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...spring sports time!!  Walker is playing soccer for the Cheetahs and Jake is playing baseball for the Orioles, and I am playing taxi cab driver.  Hahaha!  Seriously, life could not be any crazier...well, I guess it could, but I just can't imagine anything more right now.  Jake has practice twice a week and games and Walker has practice twice a week and games.  And of course, their first games were 15 minutes apart.  Grr.  Luckily, Tyson and Mary Ann were both there and helped split the time between two so that someone always had someone watching them.  :)

Jake's game started first; Jake was 2 for 2 with a single and double.  He's playing 3rd base this year, and I think that's a great spot for him.  He's the only one on his team that has the arm to throw it to first. ;)

Walker started off the soccer season with a bang; he scored 8 of the 9 goals for his team to win.  To say Walker dominated that field would be an understatement!

It's going to be an exciting spring!! More pics and videos to come soon I'm sure!
