T-Ball Game #2

 The Raptors

 Standing on second base...yawing.
Standing in the infield...yawning.
 Running home!
It was Tyson's first game!  Coach couldn't stand sitting and watching like the other dads.
Peanut had fun having his Daddy at the game.

Reaching for the ball despite the fact that it wasn't his turn. Don't you like the busted look on his face?

Jake's team had their second t-ball game today.  It was at 8 am but the sun was HOT!  I have never prayed for a game to end so early!  Ha!  Jake still had fun despite all the yawns and the massive amount of sweat underneath his hat. :)

Rainbows and Sambo

We have had non-stop rain for like the last 3 weeks, and it has especially been bad these last few days with Tropical Storm Debby rolling through.  I keep having to remind myself that we live in Orlando and not Seattle!  So needless to say, the rainbow was a welcomed site.  Isn't it beautiful?  Jake saw it and was just amazed.  He said in the sweetest voice, "this is God's promise to never flood the whole Earth again."  :)  I swear the kid has the bible memorized.  Ha!  Sam wasn't quite as impressed with the rainbow, but I thought he might need a little blog-time, too.

Jake's 1st T-ball Game!

 Pre-game
 Jake's #1 fan

 Swearing to be sportsman-like.
I did the pageant mom thing to make him smile at me here.

I love this picture!  He sure does look like his Daddy when he's playing baseball.

This is my favorite, though.  He knocked the fool out of the ball and he knew it!
 A close-up.
He was so embarrassed of all of my hooting and hollering.
This is super cute, too.  I'm so glad to see that he's having fun!

Yep, seeing Jake reminds me of the good ole days in Tifton seeing his Daddy play ball.  Even if Tyson and I couldn't stand each other back then, he sure was cute in his baseball uniform.

This was after Jake's home-run...he caught up with the previous batter. :)

 Good game!
Go Raptors!

Jake started t-ball this weekend for the local YMCA.  Why in the world they play over the hot, hot summer, I have no idea (hence the shorts and not baseball pants).  One benefit of playing in the summer, though, is that Tyson will be able to come to some of the games since he has vacation time coming up soon.  Tyson did miss this first game, though, due to a football camp, so I tried to make up for it in pictures. ;)

Jake had a lot of fun playing his first game.  In fact, he said it was the "goodest game ever!"  I think it helped that he got a home-run (ie he was the last at bat) at the end of the game because he sure was looking pretty bored on the field!  You see, Jake turned out to be quite the ball hog at practice the other day, so the coaches started assigning players to get the ball.  It was nice that it was fair and everyone got a chance to field the ball, but the boys all seemed so bored when it wasn't their turn.  Oh well, I guess my kid shouldn't have been such a ball hog! ;)

I definitely don't want to push my boys into anything they don't want to do, but I sure hope one of them at least likes to play baseball.  I do love me some baseball!  And I might have been that obnoxious mom cheering and chanting throughout the whole game. ;)  Jake's gonna love it when he gets older. ;)
