Happy 1st Birthday to little Miss Ellie Bowers! I can't believe it's already been a year...seems like just yesterday that Tyson got the call that she was on her way.

Jake and I were supposed to go to the UAB game today at Troy, but we changed our minds at the last minute and stayed home due to "scattered thunderstorms" and potential "flash floods." The last word I got from Troy is that it is sunny and beautiful...go figure. Oh well, at least we were able to attend Ellie's 1st birthday party instead!

Ellie was adorable as usual. She enjoyed throwing the ball with Jake and was so proud of herself when she caught it that she would put the ball down, start clapping for herself, and then look around and make sure everyone else was clapping for her. Such a mess! But such a cute mess! Speaking of mess, Ellie was very hesitant with the cake at first, but it didn't take long for her to dig in. She was literally licking her forearms, it was so good!
