Houston

 Here come the Knights!
So, my man Breshad Perriman (#11), who I mentioned in another post, took a bad hit after making a HUGE catch.  I knew right when he got hit that he was out.  Man, some of these players are like my kids, and my heart immediately sank.  I was fighting back the tears! He was down for a while as, but it sounds like he is going to be ok.  They ejected the player that hit him from the game and the following drama ensued...
The Houston player getting ejected from the game.  Our crowd boo'd him like crazy.  And some stupid idiot on the Houston staff allowed #10 to go into the locker room and change and come back out while Breshad was still being worked on on the field.  Our crowd went crazy and starting throwing stuff at the player...

Apparently this man was one of the guys caught throwing stuff at the Houston player.  He got escorted out and instantly became the crowd hero.  Seriously, the crowd cheered for this guy on his way out.  A Houston coach wised up and made the ejected player go back to the locker room.
Sweet Breshad giving a thumbs up that he's ok...
Meanwhile, the Houston quarterback was caught smiling and laughing on camera while Breshad was still down.  What thugs.
And moving on from that drama, our defense rocked it in the end and we won!!
Tyson's linebacker, Troy Gray, throwing up the #11 for Breshad.
And this is majorly out of order, but this is the only picture the photographer took of Tyson.

UCF beat Houston 19-14 this past Saturday, and now we are 1st in our conference and #15 in the AP poll!  Woo hoo!

Tyson's mom came to town to keep the boys so I could go to the game. I am so happy I got to go...it was the most exciting ending ever and it was all because of my hubby's defense!  I'm not even going to attempt to explain it in football terms; football is kinda like Spanish to me- I can hear it and understand it a lot better than I can speak it.  Ha!  Anyways, I'm so proud of Tyson and his boys.  This has been a LONG football season, but at least we are winning AND WE'RE RANKED #15!!!!  Have I mentioned that yet?  Ha!  Next up, we play at Temple this Saturday at noon on ESPN (I think).  Go Knights!!!

The Littles

The two little brothers

My blue-eyed boy...for now.

I'll tell y'all what, time is flying by and these boys are growing up right before my eyes!  I need to do a better job of photographing the boys and writing down the little stuff going on, but I just feel like I ever slow down anymore!  I think I'm going to make that a New Year's resolution- to blog more.

Anyways, these pictures are from last week when Walker was at home from school with me and Anderson.  Walker had been going to school for 4 days a week since school started, but I ended up dropping him back down to 3 days at the beginning of November.  Poor little guy wasn't a fan of going to school that much and I wasn't a fan of sending him that much, so it just worked out better that way.  He really enjoys being at home and having Anderson all to himself and being the "biggest brother."

Tyson's UCF Profile

I posted this video to facebook yesterday, but I wanted to have it on here, too, just in case.  I'll be honest, I debated on sharing this video because of how bad I looked!  One of the interviews of me was when I was 9 months pregnant and extremely swollen, and the kitchen scenes of me were taken when Anderson was 2 weeks old.  I should've waited until I lost some baby weight before I got in front of the camera!!  Jeez!  At the end of the day, though, I couldn't be more proud of this video.  I knew they were trying to spin it into more of a video about Tyson as a father and husband than as just a football coach, but I just wasn't expecting it to be so sweet!!  I am so blessed to have such a loving and devoted husband!

2 Months Old!

Anderson is 2 months old today!  I took this sweet boy to the doctor today for his check-up, and all went well!  He weighs 14 lbs (86%), is 23.75 inches long (85%), and has a head circumference of 16 inches (88%).  Just for comparison, here are the rest f the Summers' boys' stats at 2 months:

Jake:          wt- 13 lb 7 oz,     ht- 23.5 in
Walker:     wt- 12 lbs 1.5 oz, ht- 24.5 in
Anderson: wt- 14 lbs,            ht- 23.75 in

So, Anderson is the chunkiest and is just a smidgen taller than Jake was and almost an inch shorter than Walker.  (Walker isn't really that tall now, so I wonder how correct that measurement was).  Anyways, we have some healthy boys for sure!

Let's see, what else?  Anderson's cephalohematoma (the bump on the back of his head from labor) is getting better, but it still isn't gone. Ugh.  I guess I just have to have patience, which is not one of my best qualities.

Anderson's baby acne has cleared up, but his tear ducts still remained blocked.  Just gotta have patience.  Patience, patience, patience. Ugh!

Happy Halloween!

Sweet little Yoda had a precious little robe that matched the outfit, but it was like 89 degrees at the start of trick or treating when I took these pictures and I was not going to have a sweaty yoda baby.
Darth Vader, Yoda, and a Clone Trooper

 Our sweet friends

I hope y'all had a Happy Halloween!  The Summers sure did!!  As you can tell, the boys went with a Star Wars theme.  I'm very fortunate that Jake and Walker enjoy having a theme and are very considerate of each other when picking costumes.  I don't know how much longer this will last, so I'm running with it while I can.

The boys begged me to dress as Leia, but I didn't think I was going to be able to because time got away from me and I forgot to order the costume.  I ran around town Tuesday hitting up all the costume stores looking for the costume, but I had no luck.  Well, I was at Target on Wednesday, and I found it on sale in the girls section!  And somehow I fit into the little girl size!!  Woo hoo!  The boys were so excited when I told them, and they were even more thrilled to see my hair like Leia.  I'm so glad I did it and will definitely dress up next year (if they want me to).

Tyson got to join us as we were about half-way through trick or treating.  We started the night off at a friend's Halloween party, so Tyson just joined us there.  We were so glad to have him there; Halloween is really hit or miss based on his schedule, but thankfully, we are open this weekend and he got off early.

Oh, and how about every time Walker would go up to a door, he'd say, "I can't have peanuts."  Sweet boy.  It broke my heart that he had to leave a few houses empty handed. (I told him to be polite and take the candy and I would trade his candy out at home, but he just chose not to take it).  Maybe that'll leave a lasting impression on those homes- peanut-free candy please people!!  It didn't phase Walker, though.  Smart boy.

Jake's Character Parade

 The cutest Peter Pan ever!
 Jake's class

 Mrs. Winemiller
Jake and his good buddy, Gabriel.

Jake's class had their character parade this morning, and he dressed as Peter Pan.  I'll be honest, I thought for sure he'd chicken out of wearing this costume, but he rocked it!  What he didn't rock, though, was seeing his mom.  How is he already too cool for me in Kindergarten?  Jeez!!  He acted like he didn't know me!!  Oh well, at least I have 2 other kids- maybe one of them won't be embarrassed of the ole mom-a-roo.  :(  Happy Halloween!

8 Weeks!

This sweet boy turned 8 weeks old today!!  Not much new is going on except he has developed some serious baby acne.  Neither of my other two boys had it, so it's kind of freaking me out.  Poor baby just looks a hot mess between his baby acne and crusty eyes from his blocked tear ducts.  I sure hope it clears up soon so people will quit looking at him like something is wrong with him!

I know it's hard to tell from these pictures, but his eyes are still awfully blue.  I know we've got a while, but I don't think his eyes will end up turning brown like Jake's and Tyson's.  Walker's eyes stayed this blue for almost the first year and then turned hazel, and I bet Anderson's will, too.  Also, his hair is starting to grow back in on top where it fell out a few weeks ago.  It looks to be growing back in brown, so we'll see if that sticks or turns blond like the other two.

Anyways, more later.  Gotta run grab some sleep while I can. :)

Pre-Halloween Fun

 Batman and Peter Pan
 Jake's pumpkin, a Gremlin
Walker's pumpkin, a "W" for Walker.

Happy Halloween Eve!!  I don't know about y'all, but I have 2 very excited little boys who can't wait for tomorrow.

We carved our pumpkins yesterday in hopes that they wouldn't rot before Halloween, unlike years past.  Just to be on the safe side, I left them inside in the A.C.  Dang this Florida heat!  It was in the high 80's all day today and 86 tonight for trunk or treating.  Where is Fall already?  Ha!

So, like I said, tonight was our church's trunk or treating.  Oh my goodness, I think my boys had more fun at that than they will have trick or treating tomorrow night.  Have I ever mentioned how much we love and the boys love our church?  We are so blessed!  Anyways, I knew the boys would be wild men, so I wouldn't let them wear their real Halloween costumes.  They were fine with that and quickly came up with alternatives.  Jake was Peter Pan, which is his costume for his class's character parade tomorrow, and Walker chose Batman, which was Jake's costume (click here) when he was 3.

Stay tuned for Halloween pictures!  Happy Halloween!

UConn Game/Anderson's First Game!

Team Summers
 The Wensyel family
Here you go, Coach Callahan!  Your 5 seconds of fame on the Summers' blog! ;)

UCF beat UConn 62-17 this past Saturday, increasing our ranking to #19 on the AP poll and maintaining our first place (tied with one other team, though) in the conference!  Woo hoo!

The boys and I booked it back from St. Simons to get to the game by halftime.  This was Anderson's first football game and the boys' first game this season.  Everything went well until about 3 minutes left in the game- Anderson was STARVING, so I had to feed him.  Well, of course, he takes about 20 minutes to eat, so we were late getting out of the stands and to the locker room to see the players come out.  To make matters worse, he had a massive blow-out at the end of the feeding; it took me, another coach's wife, and my friend, Angie to change.  OMG!!  The whole game (well, second half), I was sitting there thinking "I might can do this by myself after all...I got this!"  Oh no, I didn't have it.  I will totally be looking to leave at least 1 or 2 thirds of my children home for the next game!  Ha!

Way to go Knights!  We're as proud as always, Tyson, of your hard work!!

Right after Tyson's linebacker got an interception.  He was just a little bit excited. :)

St. Simons for Fall Break

 Mom and the boys
 Playing at the pier playground.

 Me and my boys :)

Cousins!!  Gracie (almost 2), Jace (4), Walker (3), and Jake (5)

Feeding the ducks, fish, and turtles
One of the ducks had just had some babies.

We took some beach pics of my parents and the kids while we were there.

The boys had fall break last week, so we met my parents and my sister and her kids in St. Simons for an extended weekend.  I'll be honest, I've been dreading this trip for a while because of the drive.  It's a 4 hour trip there from Orlando, and between a 5 year old who has to go potty at least every hour, a 3 year old who has to have his DVD changed every 45 minutes, and a 7 week old who hates being in a car seat, I knew I was bound for misery.  I sucked it up and did it anyways, and I'm so glad we did.  We had so much, and the boys really enjoyed seeing their grandparents and cousins!

Here are a few funnies from the trip- Walker (my sweet, sweet, skinny Walker) went up to this big kid on the playground and told the kid "I'm gonna kick your butt!"  Once I covered my face and laughed hysterically, I corrected him for his use of potty words and asked him "what would you have done if the kid would've hit you?"  Walker replied "I'm stwong...I would've hit him back!" Hahaha!  Also, on the way down there, my sweet Jake (who is the best big brother ever and sat next to Anderson to tend to him) finally got fed up with all the crying and said, "I just can't take it anymore!"  Hahaha!  That might not be funny to you, but I had had all the crying I could take about an hour before that.  He lasted way longer than I did!

We had a great time, but of course, we missed Tyson.  It's times like this that I wish he had a "normal job" with weekends off so that he could go with us.

Thanks for having us, mom and dad!  And thanks for joining us, Amy!
