UCF beat USF 23-20 on rivalry weekend in what has been termed "War on I-4."  It was yet another nail-biter, but we pulled through and at the minimum are now co-champions of the American conference.  We play at SMU this weekend at noon on ESPN, and if we win that game, we will be the American champions and get an automatic bid for a BCS bowl game.  (We actually could lose the game and still claim the title and the BCS bid if Cincinnati loses to Louisville this Thursday night...we're just planning on winning this weekend and not having to worry about that, though) ;)  Make sense?

 

So as it stands right now, we're ranked #15 in the AP polls and #16 in the BCS.  This is absolute craziness!  These are the kinds of season you dream of, especially considering where we were just 2 years ago at this time.  Craziness!  Here is a good article that summarizes our "Houdini season" (click here).  Go Knights!
