The Aquarium

In true Jake fashion, he looked at all the big sharks and said "ROARRR!"

The underground tunnel

"HEYYEE!"

Jake insisted on having his shoes off...did we look like rednecks or what?
At least he didn't have grocery store feet!

Kissing the fish

This was as close as Jake would come to petting the stingrays and sharks!

"LOOK AT ALL THESE FISHES, PAT PAT!"

"Cheese!"

"This is all so overwhelming!"

Please forgive me for all the pictures; I tried putting them together in a slide, but couldn't get it to work. Anyways, I knew Tyson would want to see what he missed out on. :( Tyson did get to go to the aquarium with the Georgia Football team when it first opened, but I don't think it meant as much to him at that time as it would have today. We missed you, Daddy!

Jake, my mom, and I made a trip to the Atlanta Aquarium today, and Jake was fascinated with all the "aminals!" He did a lot of waving to the fish, kissing them through the window, making fish faces and sounds, and saying "hey!" to anyone or anything that was in his periphery. He was precious...well, until we let him out of the stroller. Jake was "that kid" that every non-parent talks about...you know, the ones who say "my child will NEVER act like that." Yep, that was my child- running around like a mad man, weaving in and out of crowds, screaming at the top of his lungs, hiding from us, trying to get lost and/or picked up, and just acting like a crazy child!! He was out of control...or should I say that I was out of control...of my 19 month old child! I can honestly say I have never seen him act like this, and I hope he never does, but it was totally worth it today.

Thanks Pat-Pat for making the trip with us! We had so much fun! We can't wait to go back again!

Daddy's Office

Daddy teaching Jake about "X's" and "O's"

Hmm...Future football coach?
I've never seen this board look so empty...it's just a matter of time!

You can never go wrong by throwing my child in the air...he loves it!
Only 19 months old and already bossy!...

...but oh so cute!
One last shot...if you look closely, you might can see
where Jake got ahold of my car yesterday with the screwdriver!

Well, it's here...in full force...football season! The players report today and 2-a-days begin tomorrow! Go Blazers! Exactly one month til kickoff!

Today, Jake and I went to Tyson's office today for lunch to squeeze in one more visit with Daddy before camp starts. As you can tell by the pictures, Jake's favorite thing to do (other than run up and down the halls and in and out of coaches' offices like a maniac) is to draw on Tyson's dry-erase board. I'm really surprised my "OCD-about-his-dry-erase-boards" of a husband actually lets Jake draw on there, but he does. I guess it's a lot better than Jake tearing the players' play-books like he did last year, right? :) Anyways, we really enjoyed our time with Tyson today. We're gonna miss you, Tyson! We love you!

"Go Dawgs" AND "UAB"

To prepare for football season, I've been trying to teach Jake to say "U-A-B!" It's kind of difficult for him to say, but he gets the "B" part of it right most of the time...now we just got to get the rest of it together! Today, we took it to a whole new level...Jake was digging through my stuff and found a book that I bought my nephew, Jace, called "University of Georgia 101." It shows kids things about the school -mascot, campus landmarks, the different sports, songs and cheers, etc.; it's such a cute little book! Well, Jake flips it immediately to "UGA" the dawg and says "woof woof;" I quickly responded, "No, UGA says, 'Go Dawgs!'" Jake thought it was hilarious and couldn't say it enough. No joke, he ran through the house saying "Go Dawgs" (or something very close to that) for like 20 minutes. Of course when I finally remembered to pull out the camera, he was over it. Oh well, if you listen very closely on the video he says his version of "Go Dawgs" AND "U-A-B" after some coercion from me, of course.

Oh, and let me point out that even though I went to UGA and several of my family members have as well, UAB is number 1 in my heart. "Gotta love the one you're with" as Tyson puts it. But we do wish the Dawgs well! Go Blazers!

Pool Time with the Bowers

Miss Ellie
My 2 Fav Boys
Jay and Kate

Jake's telling Worth all about it
Jake and Ellie in deep discussion...over the float

We had a great time hanging out at the pool today with Worth, Ashley, and Ellie, and we even got to see Kate and meet her new boyfriend, Jay. This was the first time I've seen little Miss Ellie in a while, and boy is she getting big. She's even started walking! She is just so sweet and full of smiles! She and Jake are definitely going to be big buddies one day...just as soon as they can learn to share their goldfish! :)

Oh, and I have to throw this one in here because this picture is just adorable to me. I stole it from Mrs. Pendy's blog:
