Father's Day

The Summers and Sperrys (except for the two little ones)
 Slip and slide!

A little chicken fighting.  Bella won.

 Walker won this round.

Father's Day was tough for me this year, I'm not gonna lie.  I've obviously had a lot on my mind with what's going on with my mom, but I didn't want to ruin the day for Tyson and the boys.  We ended up having a last minute get-together with our neighbors, the Sperrys, and it was a very welcomed distraction.  The kids had a lot of fun, as you can see from the pictures, and even won a few rounds of chicken fighting. ;)

By the way, I created a facebook page for my mom if you are interested in following it: https://www.facebook.com/pattikingteam?ref=hl&ref_type=bookmark .  Please continue to pray for my mom.  We've got a tough road ahead.  Thanks!

Jake's Flag Football Camp

Little boys...making tooting noises...story of my life.

TOUCHDOWN!!

Getting his shoe tied. :)

Jake running the ball.

Jake on defense.

Jake got the sack here.

Last week, Jake went to a flag football camp and they held a scrimmage for the parents on Friday.  He got 2 touchdowns, pulled lots of flags, and won the 40 yard dash for his age in the combine.  Oh, and he had so much fun!

9 Months Old

This started as a game of peekaboo around the couch between Jake and Anderson...

...and then it turned into a game of "let's crawl around the house as we chase mama with her camera."
Look at the face Anderson has started making.  Ha!

Anderson had his 9 month check up last week.  He weighed 22 lbs 4 oz (85%) and was 30 in tall (96%). Here are his numbers compared to his brothers at 9 months:

Jake:         21 lbs. 8 oz and 29.5 inches tall
Walker:     21 lbs. 14 oz and 29.75 inches tall
Anderson: 22 lbs. 4 oz and 30 inches tall

He's still winning the chubby bunny contest. :)

My Mama

I just posted this on facebook, so I figure I would do the same thing on here.  My sweet mama has cancer- gastric adenocarcinoma to be exact.  I am heart broken.  Her doctor found it on a scope yesterday and got the pathology results back today to confirm it.  I cried so hard yesterday that I made myself sick; I'm pretty sure I was in shock.  Either way, I'm trying to avoid crying right now, so I can't go into too much detail about it at this time.  I'll write more when I can.  Just please pray for my mama.  She's having scans done this coming Monday to check for metastasis, so please pray for no metastasis specifically.  Thank you.

Walker's Soccer Party

Walker got his soccer trophy last week at his end of the season party.  He sent the soccer season out with a bang by scoring a goal (in our teams' goal!) in the last game.  I couldn't be more proud of Walker; to be the youngest, smallest, and most inexperienced player on the team, he worked hard and never gave up.  He definitely earned the respect of his teammates and became a leader on the team.  I'm a proud mama for sure.

School's Out For Summer!

My mom with my crazies before she left.

 First day of summer!
That's Daniel, DJ, Jake, and Walker.  They kept asking me to photograph them so that they could see their crazy jumps.

There has been lots of games of peekaboo around this coffee table with this one.
 And lots of this.
First day of summer vacation and I looked up and realized I had 7 boys and 1 girl in my house.  I'm pretty sure this is our new normal in our new 'hood. (This is the big boys' play room/video game room, by the way).

This is out of order, but this is their last day of school pic.  Can't you tell how thrilled they are about being home with mama all summer by those fake smiles on their faces?

The New Digs

This is definitely the cutest package ever!
This is Carl, our neighbor.  Apparently, he has a wife named Mary, but we have yet to see her.  We've seen a lot of critters since living in this house, including a snake (eeks!) that tried to slither its way into the garage this morning as we were leaving to take Jake to school.  Y'all should have seen me trying to kill this snake- all I could find was a broom and a stick.  I swept the snake to the end of the driveway and then beat it with a stick all while Jake is yelling "CALL 911...CALL 911!." Hahaha!  I'm sure the neighbors think we're crazy!  Anyways, this house backs up to a conservation, so it could get interesting around here.
The house also came with this sweet swingset.  The boys have LOVED it!  (Ignore Jake's black eye...he had a carnival at school and had his face painted like a pirate).

I'll show more pics of the inside once the clutter is cleared, but here is a shot of the outside.

So far, this has been the boys favorite part of the house...an outdoor shower.  They have only taken one shower inside the house since we've been here, which is fine by me since that's one less shower that I have to clean.  Ha!
Ok, so this has nothing to do with the house, but I had to post this picture since this dang duck is such an integral part of our lives.  You see, I started bathing Anderson in this duck when he started sitting up, and now, I can't get him out of it!  If you put Anderson in a regular bath tub without the duck, he'll scream his head off and throw himself all over the bath tub.  Drama. So over the ducky.
