Hitting the Slopes!

Walker and Jake before ski school!
My friend, Sarah, and I
Look at how windy it was!  The boys were miserable!

The boys were EXHAUSTED by the end of the day!

These are out of order, but this is our neighbor, Aaron, holding Anderson as we were waiting on Jake and Walker to go into ski school.  Did I mention how stinking cold it was?

This past weekend, the boys and I tagged along with our neighbors, the Smiths, on a skiing adventure.  We went to Snowy Range in Centennial, Wyoming, which is about 2 hours from Fort Collins and is a popular area for the locals.  It was only about 23 degrees, but the wind was fierce and the wind chill brought it down closer to 0.  I'm not going to lie, it was pretty miserable.  I was very thankful that I wasn't out in it.

Yeah, so I took the easy way out and sat in the lodge all day with my friend Sarah, who is pregnant and has to sit out.  Besides, I hate skiing- I've hit a tree, fallen off a lift, and been wiped out, but I definitely wanted my boys to try it before we leave Colorado.  I put them in ski school for the day, and they both did great!  Walker didn't love it but was fearless and a natural; Jake liked it and probably could've gotten to do a lot more, but there were a lot of little guys in his class so that kind of held him back.  He's asked me to take him snowboarding before we leave, so we'll see if we can squeeze it in.  Anderson stayed in the day care at the lodge, and that worked out perfectly.

All in all, it was a great day and I'm so thankful for this experience!

Bringing Up the Rear!

This is very typical of Anderson- always holding something in his hand.  This time, he has a ball and one of Walker's soccer socks.  Hahaha!  Love this kid!  And no, he is not drinking coke.  It's just a cup with water in it.  Ha!

As if life couldn't get any crazier right now, I decided to potty train Anderson this weekend.  I used the Three Day Method I used on Jake and Walker, and it worked again!  Anderson was my most difficult one and my easiest one, if that makes any sense.  He wouldn't drink hardly at all (they're supposed to increase their fluid intake so that they pee more), he didn't want any rewards (ie candy or M&M's), and he was just stubborn about the whole thing.  He got it almost immediately, though, with #1 and only had 1 accident the whole weekend, but he refused to go until the very last minute.  There were several false alarms and a lot of pee pee dancing going on (where he crosses his legs and dances around to keep it in), but eventually he couldn't hold any longer and would go.  Hahaha.  #2 always proves a little more difficult with my boys and should get easier and more consistent in the next few weeks if Anderson is anything like his brothers.  Anyways, I'm so glad to have this behind us and to be DONE WITH DIAPERS!  Woo hoo!!

NYE and Jake's Birthday Party!

Jake, Walker, RK, Anderson, Chase, Cam, Gracie, and Jace.
Jake's birthday party in Thomaston with family!

 My mama. :)
 Tyson and his mama. :)
 Granddaddy, Christy, and me. :)

Saying goodbye to Tyson for the next 6 weeks. :(

After the press conference, the boys and I went to Thomaston to see my parents and to let Tyson get started working in Statesboro.  Tyson did come back to tell the boys bye for the next 6 weeks and to celebrate Jake's birthday.  It was sad knowing this would be the last time we'd see Tyson for a while, but we enjoyed being with our family and celebrating Jake. :)

Tyson's Press Conference

How cute are my little Eagles?
 Working on his speech.

I snuck my camera into our photo shoot.  Haha!  Tyson wasn't very happy with me.
Georgia Southern's Interim President, Dr. Jean Bartels.
 Georgia Southern's AD, Tom Kleinlein.

I can't tell you how weird this was- as soon as Tyson was done, he walked over to us and this swarm of photographers surrounded us.  I'm not going to lie, I kind of felt like a celebrity. Hahaha!
Jake loved the attention and started posing for the cameras.  It was hilarious.  He thought the day was for him.
My cousin Trey, my sister, my granddaddy, and my cousin Christy with her two kiddos came to support us.
We had to wait for almost an hour after the Press conference on Tyson as he had more photo ops and interviews.  Big time. Ha!
My dad, my granddaddy, and my crazy hair.  I've got to get used to this heat and humidity again.

 Chase poses.
 Tyson's mom came, too. :)

Tyson's college roommate, Matt McCord.
These next few pics are from the professional photographer.  I love this one of my family!!  Too bad it was Anderson's nap time- it's written all over his face.  Haha!

This might be my favorite pic of Tyson.  He was beaming at that press conference.

On December 26th, 2015, Tyson was formally introduced as the next head coach at Georgia Southern University.  If you watch the video of the press conference, you'll see that he absolutely killed it.  He put his hands in his face some, but other than that, it was by far the best press conference that I've ever seen.  The press conference was a little awkward for me because they had me and the boys sitting facing the crowd...talk about pressure!  I'm in a dress that is above the knee and I had three little boys (well, two mostly) climbing all over me.  Hahaha! Lesson learned.

These past two weeks have been absolute craziness; the press conference was a big hurdle, though, so I'm glad that's over with.  Now, I can just focus on the move and getting my family back together again ASAP.  I went house hunting in Statesboro over Christmas break and we're under contract with a house there.  The plan right now is to move mid-February if all goes as planned.  I have a feeling that January is going to be the fastest slowest month ever.  Hahaha!

Go Eagles!  I'm so excited for my husband and our family!!
