Walker's 3rd Birthday Party (Part 1)

Whose birthday party is it?  Walker's!!!...
 ...and Madison's, too. ;)
Tyson and Walker on the slide
 DJ on the swing
Jake and Ryan in the foam pit
 Sean on the trampoline
 Walker again :)
 Jake on the swing
 Elle and Ashlyn
Pregnant mama jumped in the foam pit...and about couldn't get out.  The kids took advantage and totally attacked me!  Thank goodness my sweet husband finally came to my rescue!
 Kenza!!
 The Craig trio.
 Mr. Dave mans the pit.
Walker probably had the best time of everybody.  This was the perfect party for him!
 See?
 Our buddy, Brady.
 Daniel
 Sweet, sweet Mary.
 Our little neighbor, Taylor.

We had Walker's 3rd birthday party yesterday at Double Down Athletics.  Double Down is actually a cheerleading/tumbling/gymnastics place, but they convert it for birthday parties and put up lots of bounce houses while still leaving up some of the gym equipment.  It was honestly the best place for a party- if the kids got tired of bouncing, there was still plenty for them to do.

We did share the birthday party with our friend and neighbor, Madison, who turns 5 the day before Walker.  We figured we both wanted a smaller party with mostly our neighbors and just a few school friends, so it worked out pretty well.

I still have a few more pictures to put up, so stay tuned!

Football + Baseball= Life

 Jake at Daddy's Football Scrimmage
Walker a few minutes before screaming "HEY DADDY!!!" very loudly across the field.  Good thing Coach O'Leary is old and didn't hear it because everyone else in the stadium did. :)

Jake, Mary, Walker, and Daniel after the game.

Jake (with his mouth stuffed full of cookies) played his best friend, Daniel's team.

Bleach on the Beach

Y'all like my title "bleach on the beach?"  Because that's how I felt when my pasty white kids and I were on the beach last week!  Hahaha! Anyways, it was actually too cold (as you can tell by how bundled my mom was) to expose much skin if any at all, but we got on the beach anyways.  The boys had a good time building volcanoes and running around.  The water was actually decently warm, so we got our feet a little wet until we were nearly attacked by dead, floating jellyfish.  They were out of control!

This concludes our spring break pictures.  It sure was cold and wet in St. Simons, but we had a good time regardless.  Thanks, Mom and Dad!!

Spring Break in Cochran

Carson, Chase, Jake, Spenser, Walker, and Ryleigh Kate
 Being silly...

MaMa and 9 of her great-grands
Getting ready for the Easter egg hunt...

My cousin, Chris, with 2 of his 3 boys and MaMa and Granddaddy...
 Christy with her 2...
And me, mom, and the boys with my grandparents.
We wish Connor, Jace, and Gracie were here for this picture!

While we were in St. Simons, we drove over to Cochran for the day to visit my grandparents and my cousins.  I haven't been to Cochran in soooo long, so it did my heart a lot of good to see my family.  My grandmother's Alzheimer's has progressed very rapidly, though, and she is to a point where she speaks very little.  She still knows who I am and gets around ok, but she is dependent on my granddaddy for everything else.  It makes me really sad to see her decline so quickly, and it breaks my heart for my granddaddy, who is such a noble person and refuses any help in caring for her. :(

Ok, enough with the sadness. We did get to see my cousins, Chris and Christy, and their kids (minus Connor).  Chris coincidentally took that day off work and brought his younger two to visit MaMa and Granddaddy, so that worked out well.  We had an impromptu Easter egg hunt in my grandparents' beautiful back yard and just enjoyed hanging out and talking.

I sure wish I could go to Cochran more often.  I miss my family so much!

The First Few Days of Spring Break

Blowing off leaves after a big storm came through.
Walker riding while his brother works.
This is a baby snapping turtle (on the piece of bread) that my mom found and convinced Jake to keep as a pet...until I released it back into the pond.  No snapping turtles for me, thank you!
Jake chasing the ducks...who then turned around and chased him!
A cold day at the pier!
 Jake and Granddad
 Granddad flying Walker's kite.
Jake was a pro at flying the kite!
 My baby!!

I have no idea what they're talking about here.  Looks very interesting!!

The boys and I spent their spring break last week in St. Simons Island, Ga with my parents.  I am so glad my parents were there because it ended up being super cold and rainy the whole week, so we had to scratch any beach plans and come up other things to do to keep us busy.

We definitely ate a lot of good food while we were in St. Simons, but we also spent a good amount of time just hanging out at the condo riding bikes, feeding the turtles, ducks, and fish, and playing baseball.  The pier also ended up being a fun source of entertainment- we flew kites one day when it was really windy and we played almost daily on the playground and enjoyed the ice cream shop nearby.   We even went over to Brunswick one morning to a place called "Katy's Castle," which is an indoor inflatable place.  It was a little pricey and didn't have quite as much to do as the places we're used to, but it ended up being the perfect entertainment for a few hours for the boys.

We went to Cochran on Wednesday to see my grandparents and cousins, so I'll post those pictures next. :)
