Potty Training Fun!

Yep, you read it right...we've been potty training Walker the last few days.  And believe it or not, we've been having fun!  If you're going to be stuck at home for 3 straight days with pee and poop up to your elbows and saying, "let me know if you need to go potty" five thousand times, why not have fun with it?  Ha!

It has surprisingly gone really well, especially considering Walker is only 27 months old.  He picked it up on day 1 and (knock on wood) hasn't had an accident since!  I can't tell you how proud Tyson and I are of him...and Jake, too!  Jake has been super supportive throughout this whole process and has been genuinely excited for Walker.  I am one happy Mama!  No more diapers in the Summers' house!!!  Woo hoo!

Fishing Trip!

Our family fishing trip!
 Walker driving the boat.
Jake said that "this was so cool, [he] could do it everyday."
 Jake's first shark.
Walker reeling in his first shark.
Walker was mad that he had to put down the chips to take a picture. ;)

 Jake's bonnet head shark.
He was so brave to hold the shark!!
He even helped Dr. Billy throw it back!

This is hilarious- Dr. Billy let go of the shark's tail to hold that dang sign, and the shark went crazy and flicked Walker in the face with his tail.  Haha!  This picture doesn't do it justice.
 My little bonnet head.

 Jake helping drive the boat.
Jake accidentally hooked his middle finger.  No joke, he rode around in that boat for a good 10 minutes with his middle finger up like that.

While we were in St. Simons, we took the boys on a kids' charter fishing trip.  Jake has been begging to go fishing on a "real boat," and I stumbled upon this kids' fishing trip and thought it was perfect.  Captain Dr. Billy (aka Billy Bee) is a former school superintendent that does these trips on the side, and he did a great job.  He was so good with the kids and very patient- I would HIGHLY recommend him; we're definitely going to use him again.

As you can tell from the pictures, Walker was mostly interested in eating chips the whole trip.  Jake, on the other hand, was so into shark fishing that he nicknamed himself "hammerhead Jake."  Ha!  We caught 4 little black-tip sharks and 2 bonnet head sharks (which are "cousins" to the hammerhead, according to Dr. Billy) between the four of us.  We probably could've caught more, but Mama started getting sea-sick and called it a day a little early.  Ha!

Vacation Time!!!

Tyson's vacation time is here!! Woo hoo!  We just got back from a week at St. Simons, and we had so much fun!  As you can tell, we had lots of visitors and good times with friends, so I'll just walk you through our week from start to finish.

My friend, Jill, came down for a few days.  Funny story- Jill got to the condo late Sunday night while the kids were still sleeping.  Well, Monday morning, Jake got up and ran through out the condo looking for me.  Instead of finding me in my normal bed, he stumbled upon "Goldilocks" (aka Jill) sleeping in my bed!  Ha!  He was absolutely hilarious thinking it was Goldilocks (and he was sooo serious, too).
Tyson's best friend, Worth, and his family happened to be vacationing in St. Simons, too, this last week.  We were fortunate enough to spend every day on the beach with them!  Tyson was so excited to be able to spend some time with his Goddaughter, Ellie!

My boys loved playing with Ellie (especially Walker who is obsessed with her).
Best friends and their kiddos building sand castles. :)
Sweet little Emma.  She couldn't sit still...especially if food was in the vicinity. :)
 Ready...set...
 JUMP!!!

 Happy 4th of July!!
Mary Ann came down on the 4th and played on the beach for a while and kept the kids that night so Tyson and I could have a date that night.  It was great until the fireworks almost gave my husband an asthma attack.

 Feeding the ducks!
On Thursday, Tyson had to come back to Orlando for a meeting, so the kids and I jumped into the car and went and visited my family in Cochran.  We didn't get to stay long, but as usual, we had fun visiting my grandparents and my cousins.  Miss them.
 Emma playing in the hole.

 Ellie jumping.
 More sandcastles.
 Jumping waves.

And finally, my mom came down to visit.  We didn't get to spend near enough time with her, but we get to see her very soon.  Details on that later.
