Batman (Luke) and Robin
Robin x 2
Our church had trunk or treat this past Wednesday, and what drama it was beforehand! While Anderson took his afternoon nap, I got ready for trunk or treat. I dressed up last year and the boys loved it, so this year I decided to dress up again. And this year, I decided to be....my husband! I had one of his outfits, a whistle, and a bald head mask. The bald head was not easy to put on, but I sprayed my hair down and glued the thing to my head; I have to admit, it was pretty awesome. The boys hated it, though, and begged me to take it off from the second that they saw it. I refused to since it was glued to my head, after all. But when Anderson woke up from his nap and got one look at me, he screamed bloody murder and would not stop. I had no choice but to take the bald head off. I was so disappointed...especially when Anderson didn't stop screaming even after I took it off. I don't know what was wrong with the kid, but he was a nightmare. He screamed for about 3 hours straight.
*I should probably mention that Anderson had been sick last weekend with a fever and sore throat. The doctor said his throat looked really bad, so he definitely had some sickness going on. Well, and he's getting all four molars in at once. Poor kid.
Anyways, Anderson was so inconsolable that I could barely get him into costume. I had already tried an Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty costume on him earlier in the week, but just as I thought, he ripped it off immediately. I literally threw together another costume, an oompa loompa, but as soon as he saw me coming with the pants and suspenders, he wasn't having it. This little boy has to be my most stubborn and strong-willed child yet...yikes! Luckily, I have tons of the boys' old costumes stashed in my closet, so I grabbed the Robin costume and rushed out the door.
Had the older two boys not been so excited about going to Trunk or Treat, I would have thrown in the towel and not gone. Whew! Who knew Halloween could be such drama?
